It
may come as no surprise but public education in Haiti is sporadic or
non existent in many rural areas. Less than 10% of rural children ever
complete elementary school. Eighty percent of the rural Haitian
population is illiterate. The Church of the Holy Family can make a
difference in the education of the children of Baptiste Haiti. The
Church of the Holy Family supports 5 schools, 32 teachers and over 1000
students.

Last October the
“Teachers 2 Teachers Partnership” was created. The goal of this
ministry is to promote the quality of education for the children in
Baptiste Haiti. Coming this September, “The Teacher 2 Teacher
Partnership” will create collaboration with our teachers in Haiti.
